I live in a very big town. But a hundred years ago it was a very small place. My house was situated in the town center, between the baker’s and the butcher’s. However nowadays it is next to a big library which I like very much. I often go there with my friends and we do the homework together.

In my old city there were some shops, but not like the ones we have today. There wasn’t a supermarket or a big department store. There were only small shops to buy things.

People used to work in the field so most of them were farmers. By contrast today there are many jobs in the city such as secretary, police, fireman, teacher…and many more!

Another thing I would like to mention is that some years ago there weren’t a lot of cars, so there wasn`t any problem with the traffic. Life was quieter than today! But there weren’t any computer games! What a shame!

Nowadays my city is a busy, modern and very popular area. It has got cinemas, museums, big supermarkets, restaurants and parks to enjoy myself! It is a wonderful place to visit!
